For the third time in 10 years, Fermator, the world leader in the construction of automatic doors for elevators with locations worldwide, chose Staff Millennium to celebrate the Fermator Open Day at its Italian headquarters in Cressa (NO).
The area adjacent to the company, a courtyard with autobloc blocks, was completely transformed into a very comfortable party environment, thanks to bespoke setups created and curated specifically for the occasion.
The two coverings, one of 400 sqm and the other, a beautiful sail called “shark” of nearly 200 sqm, allowed guests to enjoy the shade during a full summer day of sunshine.
Furniture was also rented to create a comfort area for aperitifs and leisure, with more secluded spots to allow attendees to discuss business undisturbed.
To overcome the aesthetic harshness of the modular warehouse where the main event took place, we worked with scenic setups: we built supports for each pillar and for each cement block at the base of the poles, creating plywood tables to improve the appearance of the covering.
To break up the ceiling, 12 octagonal figures of 4 sqm each were created. This was a different choice from the classic suspended ceiling, which, in addition to giving the event a wedding-like appearance (unwanted by the client), would have at least doubled the costs.
For the property’s speech, we mounted a stage and a simple yet clean scenography. The large 3.5×2 LED wall took center stage, allowing the company’s content and speaker images to be projected even under full summer sunlight.
For the audio system, we chose point-source speakers spread throughout the structure, with well-calibrated delay lines to ensure the intelligibility of both the speeches and the musical background during lunch.

A lunch for 200 people at the end of June can turn into a disaster if temperatures rise, especially under a canopy.
In addition to the two coverings, one for the aperitif area and one for the lunch/stage area, we provided 15kw column air conditioners to lower the temperature by 4/5°. This allowed attendees to enjoy the event in comfort.
