Home » H&M: Grand Opening Event for Novara Store
Founded by Erling Persson in 1947 in Sweden, H&M was initially called Hennes (meaning “for her”), but the name was changed in 1948 after Persson acquired a hunting and fishing store chain called Mauritz Widforss. The name now stands for Hennes & Mauritz.
By the 2000s, H&M’s average annual revenue reached 6 billion euros, with about 34,000 employees and 850 stores worldwide.
When it comes to inaugurating new stores, H&M is known for organizing large events to attract as many people as possible to the new space.
The grand opening of the Novara store was no exception.

How We Organized the H&M Novara Store Opening Event:
After much anticipation, the moment finally arrived for the opening of H&M’s new store in Novara. H&M’s Italian journey began in 2003 with its first stores in Milan. Dan Nordstrom, the Country Manager for H&M Italy, noted in a statement:
“With the opening in Novara, we now have 128 stores in the country.”
The Novara store was designed with a first floor entirely dedicated to women, while the second floor was divided into sections for men, maternity wear, and children.
When it came to the opening, the ideas were plentiful, but relying on industry professionals was the best choice to ensure the success of the event and uphold the brand’s image.
After evaluating all the necessary details, we quickly got to work to make the occasion unforgettable.
H&M is a youthful brand, appealing to teens and young adults. It competes in the low-cost fast fashion market, offering affordable prices while often collaborating with world-renowned designers.
An excellent catering service, professional audio and lighting teams, and meticulous attention to technical details.
After a private pre-event for local VIPs, the following day saw the public opening. In addition to managing the crowd, we coordinated the catering service, audio and lighting setup, and handled all the technical and artistic aspects of the event, including recruiting hostesses who enhanced the experience and facilitated public relations with guests.
Considering the budget, target audience, and location, we hired a DJ to energize the day and set up a professional photo booth for attendees, awaiting the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the beginning of this new business venture.
As an agency, we handled the visual aspects of the event, including the set design for the entrance with banners, a walkway, and decorations, the audio and lighting services, and coordinated the various teams, successfully meeting the objectives set with the client.
Are you about to open a store or a new company location and want to organize a memorable event? We take care of everything.
