The Turin CTO Summit is an opportunity designed to share workspaces and discuss topics with colleagues and professionals from various research fields. Founded in 2006, it has continued for 15 years, and in 2021, due to the pandemic, it had to be presented as an online and streaming project.
Despite the difficulty of organizing events in Turin that can be accessed online, relying on industry professionals made it possible to create a platform capable of managing the content effectively.
As an agency, we specialize in creating and managing the direction of your web-streamed events: it is not given that you will have professional streaming broadcasts.
Usually, in addition to the right equipment, it is important that behind the camera is not just someone who can press “REC,” but also someone with the proper preparation to make everything as professional as possible.
Although the client did not request SEO optimization (which we still recommend), we created a customized website that clearly highlighted the strengths of the online event. The menu prominently displayed the courses and other online accessible items, the names of the speakers, and this year’s program.
The homepage, with a countdown and the ability to view the site in English – ideal for the international audience – made it extremely user-friendly, emphasizing how critical web portal usability is for the success of your event.
For the two-day event, from April 15 to 16, the site was divided into:
All video material was managed via Vimeo Pro to brand it and make it recognizable to the audience.
Finally, to understand the scope of the work and actual traffic, everything was analyzed (tracked) through Google Analytics.
Thanks to our technical support for streaming and online event management, site traffic surged, moving from a presence of 1,000 to 1,600 users, compared to almost zero traffic previously, which is evident even in the gallery images from the main presentations days.
